Iceland Co-Pilot is the companion app for the 121 locations in the map set: the same field notes, on your phone, working offline in places with no signal. It is live on Google Play and included free with any map purchase — it has never been, and will never be, a separate purchase.

Know when you've reached the spot
Arrival detection tells you when you're at the location, so you're not squinting at a dot on a map while driving.

- Android only. If you shoot on an iPhone, this is not for you yet — we would rather say so here than after you have installed nothing.
- Free with any map purchase, never a separate one. If you have already bought a map, you will not be asked for another payment. There is no Co-Pilot tier and nothing to upgrade into.
- The map layer still needs a connection. Packing Iceland's tiles for genuine offline use is the last big piece of the offline story — the location catalog and field notes already work with no signal; the map you see them on does not, yet.
- Light windows, road and weather status, and day routing are designed but not built.

Vegagerðin road status and the forecast for that coordinate, so a closed mountain road is visible before the drive, not during it.

Order a day's locations by drive time and light window instead of by map distance.
Buy a map, get the app
The map files are finished and delivered instantly, and already work offline in Gaia GPS, Garmin, Google Maps and anything else that reads KML, GPX or GeoJSON — on any phone, including the iPhone Co-Pilot does not support yet. Co-Pilot is not a separate purchase and never will be: buy a map, and the app is included.
